The traditional methods of manhole inspection can’t compare when it comes to thoroughness and safety of an IBAK panorama 3D inspection.
How does it work?
Using an IBAK Panorama SI 3D manhole scanner, we lower the unit into the structure. Through the use of fixed position panoramic cameras and an internal gyroscope, a 3D point cloud and a free moving visual model are created.
This allows you to control the inspection and focus on areas of interest after the fact. Our MACP certified manhole inspectors then review the inspection to determine the dimensions of the manhole and identify any defects, which can be fixed using our manhole rehabilitation service. If the manhole has experienced problems with corrosion or deterioration in the past, stereophotogrammetry can accurately measure internal cross sectional diameters. This can help you plan your manhole rehabilitation strategies for the future.
